Essential Functions
Job
Summary
Manage recruiters, territories, and CRM use for graduate recruitment activities. Works with colleges on strategies
and planning, setting graduate recruitment goals and objectives, collaborating on events, and funnel management. Provide leadership in
administering a comprehensive range of services, activities, and policies related to targeting and recruiting prospective and incoming
students into graduate programs for UTSA, both domestic and international. Works collaboratively with Program-specific areas within the
Colleges that may be outside of the Director’s purview.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Associate
Vice Provost for Strategic Enrollment to develop and administer the holistic review process for graduate students. This includes developing
processes and training graduate recruitment team members and ensuring appropriate turnaround times. - Responsible for supervising a
team of graduate recruiters and other full-time and part-time staff, including all hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary
actions, to include international students at all levels. - Coordinates all graduate recruitment activities including visits to fairs
and other events as they relate to graduate recruitment. - Works collaboratively with the UT Health Science Center San Antonio, to
build a comprehensive recruitment team to complement those within the Colleges assigned to specific programs. - In collaboration with
the Associate Vice Provost for Strategic Enrollment, builds and implements an annual recruitment plan for graduate recruitment, including
coordinating with colleges and departments on graduate recruitment activities. - In collaboration with the Associate Vice Provost for
Strategic Enrollment, establish target graduate enrollment goals for recruiter territories that are in line with university graduate
enrollment goals. - Manages and coordinates off-campus events including scheduling and coordination as they relate to graduate
recruitment. - Assists with building graduate enrollment marketing and communication strategies for local, statewide, and out-of-state
graduate recruitment. Collaboration with Enrollment Marketing, Communication and Enrollment Information Systems. - Coordinates the
graduate recruitment side of application generation, search campaigns, and other activities with vendors as it relates to communicating with
potential incoming students. Must be able to work with CRM and SIS systems to coordinate efforts. - Coordinates university partnership
of staff and alumni for national and local college recruitment fairs. - Conducts research and benchmarks specific topics and provides
reports and recommendations to leadership to enhance graduate recruitment efforts. - Develops and administers graduate recruitment
budgets, including forecasting, cash operations, planning and monitoring of revenue and expenditures. - Collaborates with the Graduate
School’s Assistant Vice Provost for Graduate Success to remain current on graduate policies and procedures. - Performs other duties as
assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Ten (10) years
of progressively responsible management experience in higher education enrollment management or admissions including six years of
supervisory experience. - Computers, Microsoft Office software suite, and standard office machines.
- Strong organizational
skills including problem-solving abilities and excellent customer service skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication
skills. - Ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing via one-on-one
counseling or delivering presentations. - Ability to work effectively with various populations.
Preferred
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience in higher education student recruitment
and/or admissions.
