Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher degree). Three [3] years of full-time experience in one or more of the following areas: academic or student services in an educational setting, admissions or enrollment, marketing media and/or print production/design (student employment will be considered).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in a related field such as graphic design, new media, marketing, or higher education administration. Experience in print design or graphic design. Experience with graphic design software such as Photoshop and InDesign. Experience with marketing campaigns, using social media, print and digital media, from creation to execution. Experience working in a student service-related department in a higher education setting. Experience creating and managing events from promotion to follow up after the event.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Senior Assistant of Enrollment Communications position will help to support the Enrollment Management division with a broad range of professional administrative duties as they relate to enrollment communications and admissions recruitment. This person will work closely with admissions, operations, and Enrollment Management to create engaging content virtually and print to engage prospective students and to access communication campaigns effectiveness. Therefore, the selected candidate must use strategic and analytical thinking skills to provide creative and engaging print and digital media to recruit prospective students. Using their excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as exceptional attention to detail, the incumbent will ensure projects are completed both timely and accurately, as any large-scale errors could result in negative institutional reputation and impact recruitment results. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem-solving. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting Enrollment Management with a broad range of responsibilities in support of undergraduate and graduate admissions related design projects, print, email, and text communications, as well as some social media campaigns.
Duties:
- Work on various projects and initiatives that promote admissions, including: Work closely with Undergraduate Admissions and Enrollment Communications to ensure timely updates to web, email snippets, and email communications. Create Undergraduate Admissions communication and marketing plans for targeted populations.
- Keep up-to-date enrollment communications calendar to ensure completion and approval of all enrollment related communications.
- Assist with admissions communication and outreach, specifically related to electronic, print, and web communications. This includes reviewing content, grammar, design, and keeping up brand guidelines.
- Work within an electronic communications system, specifically Slate CRM. This includes programming emails using HTML and CSS, writing filters ensuring accurate delivery, and creating engaging text and copy. Building accurate forms and updating landing portals/pages. Coordinate with admissions operations to ensure accurate delivery of messages to appropriate populations.
- Assist Enrollment Communications team with the analysis of initiatives, campaigns, and reporting.
- Attend and participate in meetings, when appropriate, coordinate meetings and events, research data for reports, prepare meeting agendas, draft letters, research information, compose reports and oversee related distribution.
- Attend admissions related events such as Admitted Student Day and Open Houses.
- Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and department mission.
Special Notes:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
In addition to the employee’s base salary, this position is eligible for $3,400 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
