Job Summary:

As the Reporting Analyst, you’ll be at the core of Champlain’s enrollment management efforts, an area that combines strategic planning and data-driven insights to attract, admit, and retain a diverse and thriving student body. Enrollment Management plays a vital role in shaping the college community by overseeing the processes and strategies that connect prospective students with Champlain. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing, you’ll help steer our enrollment strategy by developing high-level analyses, modeling applicant data, and creating essential data visualizations that inform strategic decisions. From projecting enrollment trends to collaborating with external consultants, this role uses data to make meaningful contributions to Champlain’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data-Driven Insight: Manipulate and analyze data to shape the strategic direction of the Enrollment Management Division.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Identify trends and create dynamic data visualizations that inform decision-making, from recruitment strategies to financial aid planning.
  • Enrollment Forecasting: Build and refine predictive models to estimate applicant yield and enrollment, providing essential input for admissions and financial aid decisions.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with Admissions, Marketing, and the IS department on data-sharing and recruitment initiatives.
  • Training and Governance: Support staff with reporting tools and represent Enrollment Management on Champlain’s Data Governance Council.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization, with expertise in tools like Power BI and Excel.
  • Experience in programming/coding languages (such as SQL, Python, or R) to support advanced data analysis and model building.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Salesforce, Colleague, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the initiative to tackle new challenges.
