Campus Location: Lynn & Danvers

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm Up to 20 hours a week.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The part-time clerk will assist prospective and previous college students through the point of matriculation. This position plays an integral role in the call-out and communication campaigns via the CRM. This position will be responsible for daily interaction with current applicants, as well as high school counselors, and other school officials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Serves as an initial point of contact and provide (in person/walk-in assistance, by phone and electronically via email) information and materials on various documents or College programs as well as admissions policies and procedures to prospective students, college staff, high school and agency personnel and the general public.
  2. Assists students one-on-one in person, by phone, and via email with the completion of the on-line application.
  3. Posts information in CRM to maintain up-to-date communication records of all students that visit, call or email the College with regards to receiving information about the college or learning about the status of their application.
  4. Enter new student inquiries into CRM according to prescribed Admissions and College procedures
  5. Completes outgoing call campaigns; deadline reminders, collection outreach and other notifications as necessary.
  6. Completes outbound phone calls to notify students of event attendance for Open Houses, College Exploration Days, Accepted Students events,
  7. Participates in on campus Admissions and Recruitment events (set-up, tours, etc.)
  8. Interacts with the Enrollment Team to organize and process documents relevant to students’ admission, retention and graduation.
  9. Monitor and respond daily to correspondence received on department/divisional e-mail accounts and voicemail inboxes.
  10. Provide clerical assistance to staff, including coordinating mailings, tracking documents, copying, faxing, information packet compilation and mail distribution.
  11. Utilize the College’s database system (Banner), CRM, and Navigate for all pertinent data entry and processing functions.
  12. May be required to occasionally work evening and weekend events, and report to other campuses if coverage is needed.
  13. Perform other duties as required or assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Associate Director of Admissions and Enrollment

Job Requirements:

  • A combination of relevant experience and/or education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry required: Excel, Word and Access.
  • Strong computer skills, comfort with technology, and demonstrated accuracy with data entry.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, preferable in a multicultural work setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with students and outside agencies to resolve problems.
  • Ability to occasionally travel between campuses as necessary.
  • Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of the community college system working with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of Banner or other integrated student database systems preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

SALARY: $18.90/hour, non-benefited
