ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

USF
World is led by a VP and is comprised of units across Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota devoted to promoting ed abroad; intl admissions,
supporting intl students and scholars, the management of intl partnerships, intl travel risk and safety services, management of the Peace
Corps (PC) Prep Program and a dedicated PC recruiter, tracking and documenting intl research collaborations and the global footprint of
faculty, students and staff, collection of data related to international activities at the University, intl alumni development and outreach,
and the marketing and communication of USF World programs and initiatives. Comprising a total of over 70 staff and a budget of approximately
$10.3 M, clients are USF faculty developing intl academic experiences, curriculum, and research collaborations, administrators promoting the
global priorities of USF, staff responsible for supporting intl activities across campuses, colleges, and other units, current and
prospective students coming to USF from other countries and U.S. students seeking global experiences as well as university partners from
abroad and foreign dignitaries. Community partners include local, state, national, and intl leaders of government and public and private
organizations, including other institutions of higher ed, military, business, and industry.

POSITION
SUMMARY:

This position, International Admissions Advisor I (Level 1), is responsible for undergraduate international student
admissions assistance and advising and typically reports to an Assistant or Associate Director, but may also report to an Admissions
Recruiter or an Admissions Team Administrator. An International Admissions Advisor Level 1 communicates admissions information to
prospective students, newly admitted students, re-admitted students, their parents and families, school personnel, and the general public.
The Level 1 Advisor provides advice and counsel regarding admissions policies and procedures including application due dates and scholarship
deadlines, admissions criteria, the status of applications, admissions decisions, required documentation, and other essential admissions
information. The Level 1 Advisor may also counsel students denied admission to USF on alternative collegiate plans. This employee is not
required to represent the university at high schools, community colleges, or other venues outside of
USF.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluates information pertaining to international students’ recruitment, application
processing, and admissions status using multiple university systems (e.g., Banner, OASIS, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and web reporting systems)
according to university admissions policies and procedures. Creates reports that are student-specific that identify outstanding credentials
and materials needed for application completion. Communicates through a variety of modalities with applicants to ensure application
completion with follow-up as necessary.

Advises prospective students, newly admitted students, re-admitted students, their parents
and families, and the public regarding USF admissions policies and procedures including application due dates and scholarship deadlines,
admissions criteria, how applications are processed, the status of applications, admissions decisions, required documentation, and other
essential admissions information. Advising may occur in person, over the telephone, via email/CRM.

Manages correspondence with
applicants regarding admission and scholarship offers to admitted students. May counsel applicants who do not meet admissions criteria about
alternative options for a college education.

Participates in the planning and implementation of welcome sessions and events for
prospective international students, families, and agents including during arrival and orientation periods. Provides admissions advising
services for “walk-in” students and families.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

This position requires a bachelor’s
degree and one year of relevant experience in a customer service employment capacity.

PREFERRED:

A Bachelor’s
degree with experience as an international student or study/employment in a country other than the United States.
Fluency in a language
other than English.
Experience working with international students, and/or diverse populations and cultures.
Previous experience in a
university or college admissions office or student affairs unit.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Demonstrated
attention to detail.

SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:

A thorough working knowledge of USF admissions criteria,
policies, and procedures governing international students at the undergraduate level – FTIC and transfer. An ability to communicate
effectively across cultures and nationalities. Ability to travel to other USF campuses and/or other locations as requested. Customer service
related experience.
