Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
The Director of Admissions provides leadership and
strategic
vision to facilitate marketing and student enrollment in the schools and departments
of the College of Pharmacy & Health
Sciences (CoPHS). The Director reports
to the Director of Graduate and Online Admissions in the Enrollment Services
Division. The
incumbent will work collaboratively with CoPHS leadership,
specifically with the Assistant Dean of Student Success and Formation.
- The Director of Admissions provides leadership to facilitate marketing and student enrollment in the schools and undergraduate &
graduate programs across the CoPHS. This position oversees all the recruitment, marketing, communications, and enrollment efforts for the
CoPHS and supervises two positions.
- The director will have specific responsibility for the CoPHS pharmacy program
enrollment process. The incumbent will develop a tactical and strategic enrollment plan for pharmacy candidates. This includes but is not
limited to lead generation, inquiry development, interview day management, admission recommendations, deposit conversion and successful
matriculation. - Develop and implement new and current recruitment strategies/initiatives and partnerships with feeder schools by
targeting various candidate populations that encompass graduate and undergraduate, second degree, and professional programs in the
CoPHS. - Utilize data analytics and market research to identify enrollment trends and inform decision-making.
- Coordinate
enrollment priorities of each program with applicable CoPHS leadership, specifically, deans, and program chairs the and the staff ( GA’s,
admissions counselors, faculty, Dean’s Ambassadors, etc.). - Work directly with student recruitment and admissions activities. Provide
regular guidance, assignments, etc. to these individuals as agreed upon with their respective supervisors. - Create, review and update
recruitment tools as necessary. Collaborate with, and participate in, the activities of the enrollment services marketing and communications
team, University Marketing and Communications (UMAC), as well as academic leadership and other applicable campus colleagues regarding
marketing strategies within the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. Marketing needs include, for example, advertising, web content and
design, print materials, and other forms of college publicity to engage and influence student recruitment.

- Comprehensive knowledge of the College policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of state and federal
rules and regulations affecting various programs within the College. - Knowledge of methods and techniques of research and analysis
and report preparation. - Ability to handle sensitive information and confidential records and materials in compliance with state and
federal regulations. - Understands best practices in institutional marketing and is a creative thinker in providing new and fresh
ideas to attract prospective students. - Experience in current marketing and communication techniques for print publication and
interactive media. - Utilize strong writing skills in developing and executing marketing & communication materials.
- Effective
skills in problem solving and analysis, multi-tasking and team building. - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in
writing. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook Calendar.
Required EducationBachelor’s degree or
equivalent experience required. Master’s degree preferred.
Required Experience3-5 years in a college-level student
affairs related position preferred. Experience with marketing and recruiting in a university setting preferred.
The selected
candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
