Coordinator of Engr Ambassadors & Recruitment

The Coordinator of Engineering Ambassadors & Recruitment works within the confines of
the First-Year Engineering Program Office and is responsible for recruitment efforts and goals set for the Swanson School of Engineering.
They develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment plan in collaboration with the Office of Admissions. They design and implement
programs related to student recruitment on and off campus, interact with prospective students, families, and/or external agencies such as
high school guidance counselors and teachers. This position is responsible for the recruitment, training, and supervision of the Engineering
Ambassadors. This individual is the frontline staff person to prospective high school students and their families, represents the Swanson
School of Engineering at all recruitment activities. This position works in conjunction with the Office of Admissions Aid in order to
coordinate all on and off campus recruiting events and prospective student tours to keep up with recruitment and admissions trends. Strong
interpersonal and writing skills are required and experience with social media and digital marketing campaigns is highly
desirable.

Job Summary

Represents the University in new student recruitment and participates in the
evaluation of applicants. Participates in recruitment activities and projects, both in and out of state.

Essential Functions

Have
in-depth knowledge about SSOE to help recruit the best and the brightest students. Knowledge of advising and admissions policies and
guidelines. Knowledge of general school requirements and Swanson School of Engineering Bulletin.

Ability to take initiative and
complete projects and/or assignments with minimal supervision

Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills. Ability to
effectively present information and respond to questions with knowledge and accuracy.

Ability to interact with various staff,
faculty, and Deans within the University.

Physical Effort

Mostly Sedentary and must be able to attend meetings across campus when
required.
