THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is an exciting time to be a part of the HCCC community. In
2021, the College launched its Strategic Plan, the culmination of which aligns with the College’s 50th anniversary in 2024. The College was

recently been named one of 101 recipients, 1 of only 7 community colleges to be distinguished for the Higher Education Excellence in

and inclusion. HCCC’s Culinary Arts Institute was ranked as the #6 Culinary Arts program in the United States by Best Choice Schools. Most
recently, the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) selected HCCC as one of twenty-four colleges nationwide to
be named a “2022 Most Promising Place to Work in Community Colleges.” The Bellwether College Consortium has named HCCC a Top Ten Finalist in
all three program categories for the nationally recognized 2023 Bellwether Awards: Instructional Programs and Services; Workforce
Development; and Planning, Governance, and Finance. HCCC is one of only two colleges in the United States to be invited to compete in all
three categories.

Department/Division Introduction

The School of Continuing Education and Workforce
Development is an exciting and entrepreneurial office within the College, which offers a wide variety of non-credit classes, courses,
seminars, and training sessions for the community. These offerings are focused on revitalizing careers, upgrading skills and credentials,
growing businesses, and pursuing pastimes and passions. Additionally, the HCCC Center for Business & Industry (CBI) is the area leader in
developing and delivering educational classes and programs for Hudson County’s businesses, organizations and individuals. Join a winning

Position Summary/Job
Description

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Workforce Development, the Coordinator’s functions are assist with
recruitment, enrollment, and direct monitoring of student activity through the designated training programs; host stakeholder events to grow
the industry presence at HCCC; setup strong regular communication with our college partners, community stakeholders, various internal
college offices, applicants, and students through the program; work with academic schools to build pathways to degree attainment. This is a
part-time grant-funded position.

The Coordinator interfaces with external clients and partners, students, instructors, and other
College departments to ensure that the administrative processes and logistics of program are met successfully, run professionally, and
college-wide Centers for Workforce Innovation reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Summary of
Duties

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree with 2 years of related
    experience, to include administrative experience Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience collecting data, writing reports, and
    working with grants with multiple objectives preferred.
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency in working with various computer software
    programs, specifically the Microsoft Office suite including Teams, Word and Excel; video conferencing, email management, spreadsheets, word
    processing, and electronic presentations.
  • Engagement Skills: This concept is robust and inclusive – engaging internal and external
    constituents, customer services skills, and marketing skills. Attention to detail and the ability to write well impacts engagement. Exude a
    professional, positive self-image in appearance, confidentiality, courtesy, conduct, fairness, and personal integrity.

Qualifications
