Summary of Position: The Associate Director of International Student Program & Enrollment plays a
critical role in supporting the efficient and effective enrollment of international programs within Indiana Wesleyan University’s National &
Global (N&G) unit. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of International Student Programs. This supervisory position collaborates
with internal stakeholders, faculty, staff, and external partners to promote a welcoming and supportive environment for international
students while ensuring alignment with IWU’s mission and strategic objectives. Demonstrate leadership by supervising, coaching, and training
enrollment counselors to enhance their performance and effectiveness. This position involves managing all aspects of international student
services, compliance with SEVIS regulatory requirements, and practices to ensure quality of service, and monitors performance metrics and
their effects on enrollment numbers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaison with the Executive Director of
International Student Programs and the International Student Program team to address international students’ unique needs and challenges
while promoting student success - Manage the ISP enrollment staff, including providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure
efficient operations - Monitor enrollment communication plans and provide recommendations for improvement and clear student
communication in navigating the enrollment process - Assume enrollment responsibilities during service levels to ensure timely
processing and exceptional student service for all prospective international students - Hire, train, and supervise a team of direct
reports on expectations, professional performance, and leadership, including directing staffing as needed at residencies - Collaborate with external stakeholders to address requests and ensure efficient student and program operations
- Serve as an
alternate Designated School Official (DSO), providing support to international student enrollment counselors and guidance to F-1
International community as needed. Responsibilities can include issuing I-20 documents, SEVIS reporting, administrative and operational
assistance - Assist in developing and managing the international program budget, including forecasting expenses, monitoring
expenditures, and optimizing resource allocation to support program objectives - Attend ISP residencies as required, including new
student residency weekends, to provide support and guidance to incoming international students - Participate in creating a
collaborative/healthy relationship with other IWU employees
Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan
University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU

Education
- Master’s Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
Experience
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with international students
preferred - Preferred experience in global education or international student services
- Experience with data utilization and
learning assessment as a tool to measure the effectiveness of the department’s programs
Required Skills
- Possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement
- Must
be a US Citizen or permanent resident to become a Designated School Officer (DSO) with the Department of Homeland Security - Ability
to work flexible hours and the availability to work weekends, specifically Fridays and Saturdays, during residency periods to ensure
seamless program execution - Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support the residency programs, which may include
overnight stays - Demonstrate a commitment to international student success
