Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Admissions Recruitment, the Associate Director will recruit and admit qualified first year and transfer students to Emmanuel College to support the mission and enrollment goals of Emmanuel College. This role is particularly integral in moving forward the transfer recruitment, onboarding, and retention process.
Essential responsibilities will include:
- Actively recruit domestic first-year and transfer students through attendance at high school visits, college fairs, campus programs and virtual events (travel necessary).
- Responsible for interviewing prospective students; reviewing applications; and making initial admissions decisions.
- Participate in admissions committee decisions; maintain contact with prospective students from initial stages of inquiry through enrollment; and plan and organize on-campus and off-campus recruitment events.
- Collaborate with the Senior Admissions Team Members to strengthen targeted communications for transfer students and community college partners.
- Contribute alongside the Director of Admissions Recruitment to strengthen on-campus events, enrollment strategy, lead sourcing and recruitment planning at all stages of the funnel for domestic transfer students
- Co-facilitate trainings with admissions counseling staff on recruitment strategies, territory management and SLATE Projects
- This role will directly supervise 3-4 counseling team members, depending on the right candidate and incoming experience.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of admissions recruitment experience, or a combination of admissions recruitment experience and other professional experience leading projects, managing staff, or in a higher education setting..
Special Consideration:
- Applicant with experience working with, or recruiting, transfer and non-traditional students to a higher education institution or within a community college setting.
- Applicants with previous supervisory experience of staff members.
- Applicants with experience using Slate as a CRM
- Applicants with a Masters degree in a relevant area to enrollment, higher education, education, or staff management
