Senior Associate Director of Admissions (Remote)

Job Summary
The Senior Associate Director of Admissions plays a pivotal role in the recruitment and enrollment of undergraduate students in a fully remote capacity. This position involves implementing strategic recruitment initiatives, maintaining relationships with prospective students and their families, and fostering partnerships to achieve enrollment goals in the southern New York and northern New Jersey regions and tertiary markets as assigned. Additionally, this role will manage and support remote admissions counselors to ensure the successful execution of recruitment and enrollment objectives.

Significant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit and Represent: Represent the college at virtual college fairs, high school events, and online recruitment programs. Use innovative digital platforms to connect with prospective students, working flexible hours during peak recruitment seasons.
  • Engage and Advise Prospective Students: Provide expert guidance to prospective students and their families on admissions requirements, financial aid, and the enrollment process, ensuring a seamless virtual admissions experience.
  • Develop and Implement Recruitment Strategies: Collaborate with the admissions team to create and execute data-informed recruitment plans tailored to assigned territories, including southern New York and northern New Jersey, and specific target populations.
  • Manage and Support Team: Supervise and mentor remote admissions counselors, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure consistency and excellence in recruitment efforts across remote territories.
  • Maintain Communication and Outreach: Establish and maintain consistent communication with prospective, current, and admitted students through email, phone, text, and virtual meetings, fostering strong connections to enhance enrollment outcomes.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Accurately manage and track undergraduate application data in the college’s CRM system, ensuring timely updates and reporting to support enrollment goals.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work with academic and administrative teams to align recruitment efforts with institutional priorities, including attending cross-departmental meetings and trainings as needed.
  • Stay Informed and Innovative: Stay current on college programs, admissions policies, and higher education trends, participating in professional development opportunities to enhance recruitment practices and meet enrollment objectives.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to support the goals of the admissions office.

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience:

  • Minimum eight years of admissions or related experience.
  • Experience managing or supervising strongly preferred.
  • Experience in remote work environments and using admissions CRM systems is strongly desired.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with virtual engagement tools, including Zoom, MS Teams, and CRM systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to issues related to diversity and inclusion in higher education.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions, and Legal Requirements

  • Requires close work on a computer screen for extended periods of time.
  • May require sitting for long durations.
  • Includes frequent evening and weekend hours to accommodate virtual events and applicant needs.
  • Must have access to a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office or workspace.
  • Significant travel within the assigned region is required to attend key enrollment/admission events.
