Position Summary

Stonehill College is seeking an Assistant Dean to serve as a member of the
admission counseling team in the Office of Undergraduate Admission and contribute to the strategic enrollment efforts of the College with a
focus on liaising with the Department of Athletics and developing programs geared toward expanding Stonehill’s relationship with high school
counselors. The successful candidate will demonstrate an exceptional work ethic, admission programming experience, and dynamic presentation
skills to join an experienced team in promoting the College to prospective students and their families.

Essential Duties
and Responsibilities

  • Contribute as a member of the liaison team between the Office of Undergraduate Admission and other
    administrative and academic departments on campus, especially with the Department of Athletics. Review academic credentials for prospective
    student-athletes and develop trusting relationships with the coaching staff.
  • Develop new programming initiatives specifically for
    high school counselors to learn more about Stonehill’s academic offerings, admission process, and future initiatives.
  • Participate in
    traditional undergraduate recruitment practices, including conducting on-campus, virtual, and off-campus group information sessions for
    prospective students and families.
  • Plan, manage, and conduct recruitment and counseling activities in a specific geographic
    territory while developing school counselor relationships. Recruitment travel will consist of approximately 8-10 weeks of local high school
    visits and college fairs throughout the year.
  • Independently, thoroughly, and holistically review approximately 800 early action,
    early decision, and regular decision applications by assigned deadlines for admission and merit scholarships.
  • Maintain communication
    with prospective students, parents, and school counselors throughout the recruitment cycle.
  • Have a general understanding of, and
    maintain compliance with, all NCAA rules and regulations pertaining to the academic review process for prospective
    student-athletes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

A bachelor’s degree
and a valid driver’s license are required. A minimum of three to five years of direct experience in undergraduate admission and/or college
counseling is required. Demonstrated ability to liaise with campus partners is critical for this position, as are strong oral presentation
skills. Preference is given to candidates with admission experience at liberal arts and/or Catholic institutions.
