Job Summary
The Assistant Director, Transfer Articulation & Admissions Processing is responsible for the processing of Undergraduate Admissions Transfer Applications, Undergraduate Transfer Course Credit Articulation, and Residency. The Assistant Director develops business practices and procedures that ensure applications and all supporting materials are expeditiously and accurately processed. Supervises a team of professional and support staff.

Job Description
Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Oversees, coordinates, and participates in the planning, implementation, documentation, administration, and maintenance of Transfer Articulation.
- Researches transfer course content, and encodes and maintains Transfer Articulation Catalog.
- Works with academic advisors, colleges/schools, departments, University offices, and transferring higher education feeder institutions to ensure appropriateness and accuracy of all transfer credits.
- Composes documentation and writes reports requiring recommendations and conclusions.
- Collaborates with staff in Records and Registration on degree audit issues.
- Ensures all admissions records are complete, accurate, and comply with University, state, and federal regulations. Makes corrections in the student record database as necessary.
- Oversees, trains, guides, and mentors the activity of processing staff engaged in related work; serves as resource for information and problem solving.
- Assists with the establishment of goals and measures to evaluate success within assigned area of responsibility.
- Maintains currency of professional knowledge; participates in the evaluation of new technologies and recommends implementation as appropriate.
- Assist in processing Residency and overseeing Residency processing staff.
Other Duties:
- Represents Undergraduate Admissions on university committees and participates in campus events and other recruitment and yield events.
- Participates in special projects and initiatives.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications:
- This position requires either eight years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.
- Experience with large relational databases, such as Banner.
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Four years of professional full-time work experience in higher education admissions processing.
- Experience in applying federal, state and university guidelines governing admission practices.
- Experience with transfer credit articulation.
- Experience with Banner and Slate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the position.
- Knowledge of University Policies regarding Course Transfers and Maintain University Transfer Course Catalog.
