About the College of Southern Nevada
Founded in 1971 and situated in the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area, the College of Southern Nevada is the most ethnically diverse college in Nevada and the first to receive the HSI designation. Job Description

This position recruits’ new students for the College of Southern Nevada’s (CSN) degree and certificate programs to meet enrollment goals. Primary responsibilities include representing the College to prospective students and the general public with the highest degree of professionalism through an array of outreach programs and activities: planning and implementing recruitment events and programs; traveling in-state to engage and counsel prospective students and family members about enrollment criteria and other critical factors regarding the educational decision process; developing positive educational partnerships and working relationships with high schools and community partners; timely follow through on communication plans by initiating and answering correspondence and inquiries from prospective students and their families; and participating in campus visitation programs, prospective informational sessions, and new student orientations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of experience in recruitment or admissions at the college/university level.
- Possess a driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Community College experience.
- Skilled in using CRM systems (Campus Management preferred).
- Bilingual Spanish.
- Geographical knowledge of the greater Las Vegas community.
The duties, knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Knowledge of:
- Higher education organizational structures, operations, and policies.
- Higher education recruitment strategies (i.e., marketing).
- Higher education rules and regulations relating to admissions, progress toward degrees, and graduation requirements.
- The content of college curricula to effectively facilitate recruitment.
- Higher education and recruitment strategies.
Skills:
- A strong sense of organization and time management.
- Communicate effectively, both in written and verbal form, with a wide and diverse range of people both within and outside the university.
- Proficiency in use of a personal computer and current software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and email) specifically spreadsheets and databases for recruitment functions.
- Proficiency in CRM systems.
- Interpersonal and human relations.
Ability to:
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Understand and interpret formalized policies, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
- Work productively without direct and constant supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Be sensitive to prospective student needs, especially those from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and first-generational college-bound students.
- Make decisions and take actions independently for a variety of diverse situations.
- Show a high degree of creativity and initiative.

Administrative Faculty B – The starting salary is $50,207.
