Supervisor: Senior Assistant Director of Admissions Operations
Position Purpose: Supports the Office of Admissions by welcoming visitors and assisting with admissions operations.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Reception
Welcome and assist visitors to the Admissions Office
Answer and direct phone calls
Provide rotating reception coverage, including some weekend hours
Clerical work
Respond to emails from prospective students, parents, and school counselors
Perform data entry and record management
Help prepare mailings for prospective students
Recalculate high school GPAs
Provide support for admissions campus events (e.g., open houses)
Support deans with program responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred
Strong communication, listening, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Proficiency in software programs (Google Apps, Word, Excel)
Ability to think critically, adapt accordingly, and escalate challenges when appropriate
Attention to detail with strong multitasking skills. Ability to adapt to new technologies
Initiative to work independently under general supervision in a flexible work environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive office data
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $17.00. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
