The Director of Recruitment and Outreach coordinates and plans the College’s student recruitment and outreach initiatives.

Reports to: Vice President of Enrollment Management

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborates with various departments of the College, including Financial Aid, College Readiness Programs, Student Life, and Faculty, in order to communicate the College’s mission and program to key stakeholders including prospective students, families, and educators.
  • Plans and manages the office’s outreach and recruitment model including school visits, conferences, virtual events, and on-campus programs.
    • Manages the campus-wide recruitment calendar.
    • Supervises division-wide recruitment to meet institutional enrollment goals for credit and non­ credit bearing programs, including Navigator PREP, Summer for Success, and Foundations.
    • Conducts active research regarding recruitment and outreach opportunities.
  • Evaluates recruitment trends and opportunities to increase prospective students and applicants for degree-seeking and college readiness programs.
    • Evaluates and trains Admission Counselors on recruitment practices.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to increase inquiries and leads.
  • Conducts active recruitment for both degree-seeking and college readiness programs.
    • Present at high schools, colleges, and conferences on topics related to students with disabilities in higher education.
    • Leads outreach programs including Beacon College’s Deep Dive and Virtual Learning Series.
  • Plans and implements special events including open houses and admitted student events.
    • Manages the campus tour calendar.
  • Supervises the Student Ambassador program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in education, special education, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in admission and recruitment planning.
  • Preferred 2-4 years of experience in college admissions.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel on behalf of the College.
  • Comfortable and skilled with technology, including videoconferencing platforms.
