JOB
SUMMARY

The Senior Admissions Coordinator
is responsible for the direction and coordination of processes and
procedures
pertaining to the university’s undergraduate admissions operations. The individual works collaboratively with the
Assistant
Vice President of Enrollment Management, Director of Admissions,
Recruitment, and Scholarships, Registrar, Bursar, Executive Director
of
University Advising, Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness,
Director of Student Financial Services, and the Dean of
Students to ensure that
institutional curricular requirements, criteria, and standards for
undergraduate admission are
met.

MAJOR DUTIES

Remains informed of Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education admission
policies and procedures; establishes procedures and relays information to staff; delegates tasks as needed.
Evaluates admission
applications, examines transcripts, test scores and documents for potential students.
Evaluates admission applications, examines
transcripts, test scores and documents for International students.
Responds to admissions questions; resolves customer complaints and
grievances; makes admission decisions.
Develops, coordinates, and evaluates the process to communicate with prospective students about
admission status.
Administers the university’s alternative, probation, and suspension admissions process.
Assists the Director of
Admissions, Recruitment, and Scholarships with the maintenance of the university’s online application for admission.
Develops and
maintains the departmental policy and procedure manual.
Oversees document imaging of admission records.
Evaluates and manages
applicable departmental holds on student records.
Supervises and trains department personnel.
Performs related duties as
assigned.

KNOWLEDGE
REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

Knowledge of Oklahoma State
Regents for Higher Education admission policies and procedures.
Knowledge of university admission processes and procedures.
Skill in
the delegation of responsibility and authority.
Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.
Skill in
decision making and problem solving.
Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
Skill in oral and written
communication.
Knowledge of quality customer service principles and
practices.

GUIDELINES

Guidelines include OSRHE policies, Oklahoma State
Regents
policies, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act requirements, the
university catalog, and other university policies and
procedures. These
guidelines require judgment, selection, and interpretation in application.

COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK

The work consists of varied student admission
duties and processes. Strict regulations and deadlines contribute to the complexity of the position.
The purpose of this position is to
assist in the admissions processes. Success in this position contributes to the timely admission of qualified
applicants.

SUPERVISORY
AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

Responsible
for
the training and supervision of the Academic Record Specialists.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree
in a course of study related to the occupational field.
Experience sufficient to understand the work of subordinate positions to be able
to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with two to three years of experience or service in a university admissions
office.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or
equipment operated.

PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience with
Ellucian Banner and Anthology Radius CRM preferred.

Annual salary $37,908.00 with excellent benefits, including
generous leave package
